The Acer Nitro XF252Q Xbmiiprzx is an entry-level high refresh rate gaming monitor that was announced in 2019. Unlike some of the best computer monitors currently available in the market, this model features a Full HD (1920 x 1080) TN panel with a high overclockable refresh rate of 240 Hz. The brand boasts exceptionally low input lag and consistent response time at its max refresh rate. Beating even the best gaming monitors in its range, Acer advertises a gray-to-gray response time of just 0.3 ms. Acer also touts the presence of HDR on this monitor, as the unit comes with multiple high dynamic range picture modes to display supported content, just like the Acer Nitro XV252Q Fbmiiprx. In terms of connectivity, this monitor features one DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one 3.5 mm audio jack, and four USB 3.0 ports. It includes height adjustments, portrait and landscape modes, swivel, and tilt. The monitor also features slim borders on three sides for multi-monitor setups. In addition, the monitor features built-in speakers, similar to the Acer Predator X25 bmiiprzx. Moreover, the brand promises accurate colors on this model right out of the box without requiring any advanced display calibrating tools or hardware whatsoever, as they calibrate the display right from the factory itself.

Top reviewers praised the Acer Nitro XF252Q Xbmiiprzx monitor for its gaming capabilities, primarily owing to its high 240 Hz native refresh rate. They also measured its response times at exceptionally low levels in different picture modes and found its input lag to be minimal. However, they disliked its extremely low native contrast ratio, black levels, and narrow viewing angles.

Consensus
our Verdict
Product reviewers adore the Acer Nitro XF252Q Xbmiiprzx for gaming, owing to its high 240 Hz refresh rate, which even beats something like the brand’s own Acer Nitro XF243Y Pbmiiprx model. Product testers from DisplayNinja applauded its excellent response times of 0.3 ms. They also loved its support for AMD Radeon FreeSync technology, also making it compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync for users that own Geforce graphics cards. As a result, they highly recommend looking at this model if you are searching for the top 240 Hz gaming monitors on a tight budget.
But, experts from Rtings.com were heavily disappointed by its poor viewing angles and extremely low contrast ratio, which resulted in a sub-par viewing experience while watching content in the dark. They also found that the panel does not have wide color gamuts for true HDR. And they disliked the fact that this monitor comes equipped with an 8-Bit TN panel, unlike the Acer Predator XB273U GXbmiipruzx’s 10-Bit panel.
ReasonS to Buy
- Supremely high native refresh rate of 240 Hz
- Supports HDR playback

- Decent color accuracy out of the box
- Incredibly low input lag and excellent response times
Reason to Avoid
- Extremely poor viewing angles
- Exceptionally low contrast ratio
- Doesn’t have WCG (Wide Color Gamut)
- Inferior 8-Bit TN panel
- Lacks HDMI 2.1 ports
