Top-tier testers concluded that the Samsung T55 was a good fit for casual home and office use. Reviewers from Tom’s Hardware commended it for its 1000R curvature since, during their tests, they endured much less eye strain (also because of its Advanced Eye Comfort Technology) and enjoyed an immersive viewing experience. Reviewers from Rtings were also quite pleased with its 3174:1 contrast ratio, as they confirmed that the monitor displayed deep blacks during their experiments, deeming it safe for dark room viewing. While its 1080p screen resolution may not rival the 1440p offered by the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, experts were still satisfied with the amount of space it allowed for multitasking.
However, the T55’s narrow viewing angles proved a problem for critics, as image accuracy decreased when viewed at an angle. They also didn’t like its low 75Hz refresh rate, which rendered it unfit for gaming. Also disappointing was its lack of support for HDR content and its poor ergonomics – issues it shares with the Samsung CJG56.
