Product testers lauded the Sony XP700 for its deep bass levels, as well as its loud volume. Top testers from Rtings also liked how loud the XP700 could get when playing music or streaming movies. This is something it has in common with the SOUNDBOKS (Gen 3), which we’ve covered in our SOUNDBOKS (Gen 3) review. After their battery tests, reviewers were also pleased that the speaker could last up to 17 hours. They also liked that the XP700 had a MEGA BASS setting, adding a good amount of depth to its sound profile. Expert reviewers from PC Mag were also happy that the XP700 had a rich port selection.
Unfortunately, testers weren’t pleased with its large size, as this made it hard to move around.
