Product testers were pleased with the Dyson V11 Animal, recommending it for carpets, bare floors, and homes with pets. It has a portable design and powerful suction power ideal for both carpets and hard floors.

However, this model doesn’t have an automatic brush roll shutoff function. Consider the eufy RoboVac X8 review for a robot vacuum that resists tangling.

Consensus

our Verdict

Reviewers praised the Dyson V11 Animal, recommending it for high-pile carpets and bare floors. Testers at Product Review hailed its maneuverability, although it’s a bit top-heavy.

This model has a HEPA filter, and it proved effective at filtering allergens and microscopic particles. Testers discovered that it produces up to 1.47 kPA of suction power and they were pleased with its portable 7.72-lb frame.

However, the Dyson V7 Animal weighs even less at just 5 lbs. Researchers at Which? praised its easy-maintenance bagless design and they. Testing revealed a good maximum runtime of 76 minutes and a decent noise rating of around 71.4 dBA.

However, this device doesn’t have headlights to illuminate dark spots. Consider the Dyson V15 Detect, which features laser illumination tech. During testing, it removed an excellent 91% of large debris on bare floors and 83% on low pile carpets.

The 0.45L dirt compartment was also deemed to be on the small side. Testers were also disappointed by the lack of an automatic brush roll shutoff function.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Outstanding suction power
  • Great battery life
  • Lightweight design
  • HEPA filter
  • Brush roll provides effective cleaning on deep carpets

Reason to Avoid

  • Small dirt cup
  • Lacks automatic brush roll shutoff feature
  • Lacks headlights
