The ILIfe A4S Pro was hailed for its 110-minute run time and two side brushes. They liked that it could automatically reduce its suction power when cleaning carpets but didn’t appreciate its lack of a HEPA filter. They also didn’t like how inefficient it was at cleaning high-pile carpets.

Product Snapshot
Overview
The ILife A4S Pro is an entry-level robot vacuum cleaner announced in 2016. It has a compact, low-profile design and a decent run time of up to 100 minutes.
It has an impressive suction force of up to 2000 Pa, which rivals some of the best ranked vacuum cleaners in the market. Its 0.45-liter dirt compartment capacity is pretty standard even among the best robot vacuums, and being just 2.95 inches tall, it can easily maneuver under furniture.
Similar to the ILife V5S, the A4S ships with a remote control, and it can also be designated to only clean certain areas of the home through an electrowall. It also has two side brushes for efficient cleaning. It emits a quiet 54 dB of sound, and cleans up 88 – 91% of small and large debris on bare floors.
Consensus
our Verdict
The ILife A4S Pro delighted expert testers with its commendable battery performance. Product reviewers from Rtings confirmed that the A4S Pro could last up to 110 minutes during their tests and 50 minutes on its highest setting.
They also liked that it had two side brushes, unlike the Eureka Groove, and established that this helped push debris towards its path. Experts from PC Mag were also impressed with how the A4S Pro could reduce its suction power when it passes through carpets.
Even though the A4S Pro is not the best robot vacuum for pet hair, experts ascertained that it was a perfect pick for cleaning hardwood, laminate, tile, and low-pile carpet through their experiments.
Unfortunately, critics were also quick to note that the A4S Pro struggled when cleaning high-pile carpet as it could only eliminate 41% of debris.
They also felt it would be hard to maintain because of the many parts that need cleaning and were disappointed that it did not have a HEPA filter.
