Analysts had mixed feelings about the Eureka Groove, recommending it for carpets and bare surfaces. They praised its filter and app-based control. However, they criticized its poor haphazard random navigation system and poor pet hair pick-up abilities.

Pet owners may check out the Eureka FloorRover Elite NEU630 review, which features an anti-tangling brush roll.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Eureka Groove is a 2020-model entry-level vacuum cleaner that promises smart features on carpets and hard floors. Rated among the best vacuum cleaners on the market, this device has a good 113-minute maximum battery life.

It has a well-built chassis and a decent 0.3L dirt compartment and provides 2000 Pa of suction power to pick up dirt from hard floors and carpets. Featuring a HEPA filter, this vacuum prevents up to 99.97% of the allergens and small dirt from escaping back to the home.

This model supports remote monitoring and customization via a mobile app. Read to the end of our Eureka Groove review and see how it measures up against the best robot vacuums available today.

Consensus

our Verdict

Professional reviewers were pleased with the Eureka Groove, endorsing it for limited use on high-pile carpets and bare floors. Testers at USA Today observed that the non-HEPA filter on this model is effective at trapping small particles and some allergens.

This 2000-pa device has a small 0.3L dirt compartment, however. Check out canister vacuums like the Eureka Whirlwind, which have larger dust cups for cleaning big homes.

This model gave mixed results during tests for large particle cleaning, picking up just 32% on hard floors and a respectable 59% on low pile carpets. Researchers were, however, pleased by its 113-minute maximum runtime.

Explore our eufy RoboVac X8 review for a device that runs for even longer. Its noise rating of about 69 dB was deemed acceptable. During testing, experts at Consumer Reports were disappointed to learn that this model doesn’t have mapping functionality, cleaning randomly and occasionally bumping into objects.

It proved mediocre in cleaning pet hair, picking up just 40% of the pet hair on bare floors, and experiencing issues with tangling.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Anti-allergenic HEPA filter
  • Great build quality
  • Remote app-based management

Reason to Avoid

  • Brush roll tangling with pet hair
  • High-maintenance design
  • Big particles get trapped in the vacuum parts
  • Lacks mapping function

The Eureka Groove robot vacuum is very different from the Eureka RapidClean Pro, which is a cordless stick vacuum. The RapidClean has a much larger 0.6L dirt cup compared to the 0.3L capacity of the Groove vacuum cleaner. On the other hand, the Eureka Groove’s 113-minute battery life is better than the 39-minutes of the Eureka RapidClean Pro.
