The iRobot Roomba 614 is a mid-tier robot vacuum launched in 2016. It has excellent build quality and a battery life that will have it running for up to 129 minutes. It comes with a 0.35-liter dirt compartment, as well as sensors that detect the kind of surface it is cleaning to adjust its suction force and height accordingly.
It doesn’t come with as many extra cleaning tools as some of the best vacuum cleaners or even other top-rated robot vacuums on the market, but it does ship with an instrument that helps dislodge debris stuck on its brushes.
Its noise level varies between 66 to 68 dB depending on suction power, which it adjusts automatically. At its default setting, its suction power is about 600 Pascals.

The iRobot Roomba 614 was hailed by reviewers for its high build quality. During their tests, they found out it has an outstanding run time of 129 minutes. More than the iLife A4S Pro’s 110-minute runtime. (More about it on our iLife A4S Pro review).
Reviewers from Rtings liked how well it could pick up fine debris from bare floors, as it picked up 98% during their experiments. Testers from Parenting Pod also liked that the 614 didn’t need to be set up to work.
They appreciated that its low 3.6-inch profile allowed for movement under furniture and that its 7.9-pound weight was light enough for easy pick-up.
However, the Roomba 614’s lack of a HEPA filter was disappointing, as was the fact that testers couldn’t set up boundaries for it to stay within. It was also poor at cleaning carpets, picking up only 56% and 3% of large and small debris, respectively.
Additionally, reviewers were also displeased with its lack of a “bin-full” indicator.
