The Samsung HW-Q60T offers a lot of good value for its entry-level pricing, as it features many sound-enhancing features, and its output is highly customizable. However, buyers will have to look elsewhere for a satisfying bass range and expanded wireless connectivity.

Product Snapshot
Overview
The Samsung HW-Q60T is an entry-level soundbar and speaker system that was first launched in early 2020. The 5.1 channel setup consists of a subwoofer and a soundbar, but buyers will have to make do with its lack of support for Dolby Atmos.
Still, they will be able to pinpoint exactly where object sounds are coming from thanks to its wide soundstage, which is a characteristic that it shares with most of the best speakers on the market.
The HW-Q60T’s subwoofer isn’t bass-heavy, but it gets quite loud and allows for sound customization through its graphic EQ and wide range of presets.
While the most popular soundbars have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, and Chromecast compatibility, the HW-Q60T can only connect to other devices through Bluetooth, which some users might find frustrating. It also boasts an Optical Audio In port and three HDMI ports.
Consensus
our Verdict
The Samsung HW-Q60T is a 5.1-channel soundbar that features a dedicated center channel for clear vocals, but it doesn’t produce a thumpy bass, and its surround sound performance isn’t immersive due to missing Dolby Atmos support.
Unfortunately, connectivity is limited to Bluetooth, but latency performance is incredible, tested at -17ms over ARC and -31ms over an Optical port for perfectly synchronized audio-visuals. The soundbar also gets loud and has a graphic EQ with presets for sound customization.
The well-built soundbar has many different ports for wired connectivity, including an Optical Audio In, an HDMI ARC, a Full HDMI In, and a USB port, but there’s no voice assistant support.
The soundbar is packed with many sound enhancement features, and overall, it is great for both music and dialogue-focused content.

The Samsung HW-Q60T has a dialogue enhancement feature that helps improve vocal clarity, which is a feature that the JBL Bar 5.1 Surround lacks. The Samsung Soundbar also supports Dolby Digital and DTS audio formats, while the JBL Bar only works with Dolby Digital. Still, the JBL Bar fares a lot better in terms of connectivity, as it can connect with devices through Wi-Fi, Chromecast built-in, and Apple AirPlay, while the HW-Q60T only works with Bluetooth-capable devices.
