our Verdict
The De’Longhi Pinguino PACEX390LVYN is an excellent 14,000 BTU (ASHRAE 128) air conditioner for large rooms, thanks to its impressive cooling abilities and low power draw. With a cooling rate of about 6 degrees per minute, this device ranks around average for cooling effectiveness compared to other certified tested air conditioners. It has a handy remote control, and the built-in sensors can automate cooling. This model is relatively portable, measuring 16.7” × 13.6” × 34.5” and featuring wheels and a handle. However, its massive 83.3-pound weight means that it is very hard to lift. If you need a smaller air conditioner, be sure to check out our Tosot ASHRAE 8000 BTU review. The PACIX390LVYN is also easy to install.
Its noise level of 50 dB at the highest fan setting is very good. The AC has a removable washable air filter. It’s Energy Star certified, and it’s quite efficient. An intuitive control panel with buttons and an LED display that showcases the temperature and other info. However, it doesn’t have an app to support voice assistants.
