Product Snapshot
Overview
The Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed headset is a mid-range pair announced in 2023. These wireless headsets are available in either black or white, with a boom microphone for accurate sound capture. Unfortunately, they miss out on Active Noise Cancellation, a staple among the best gaming headsets on the market.
In terms of battery life, the G Pro X2 headset manages a respectable 97 hours and will require about 2.5 hours to charge. The headset can also be used while charging and has an auto-off timer that helps preserve battery life. Sound can be adjusted through a graphic equalizer.
The Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed headset is well-padded and comfortable enough for long-term use. They can be connected using a 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth, or a 2.4GHz USB-A dongle. They also have an impeccable 97-hour battery, and the sound quality is well-balanced and detailed.
Unfortunately, it lacks noise canceling, but they have a boom microphone for good sound capture, and with a charging time of only 2.5 hours, they stack up relatively well compared to other alternatives.
ReasonS to Buy
Great audio quality
The Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed has a bass-focussed sound output out of the box, and as a result, vocals and instrumentals are slightly under-emphasized. However, this can be adjusted through its graphical presets.
The headset also features a virtual surround sound feature, so users will feel as though the sound is coming from multiple directions, and this is great for situational awareness when gaming.
Extremely comfortable
Both the ear cups and the headband on the G Pro X 2 have generous padding, making the headset ideal for extended listening sessions.
Excellent microphone quality
The Pro X2’s boom microphone excellently captures sound with good clarity.
Reason to Avoid
No Active Noise Cancelling
The G Pro X 2 doesn’t feature active noise cancellation, so its noise isolation performance is poor. For better noise isolation, consider the closed-back version of the Epos H6 Pro, which we’ve covered in our Epos H6 Pro review.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed Wireless misses out on noise canceling, which is present on the Steel Series Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. The Steel Series headset also has a lower noise leakage than the G Pro X2 Wireless, but its boom microphone is not detachable, as with the X2 Wireless. The X2 Wireless headset lasts much longer, averaging 97 hours on one charge, compared to the Steel Series, which lasts 50 hours. You can also listen through the Arctis Nova Pro when charging, as opposed to the G Pro X2 headset. However, if you’d like a set designed for Xbox gaming, our Razier Kaira Pro Wireless for Xbox review might be a good read.

The Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed comes with a pouch and has a boom mic as opposed to the integrated mic on the Audeze Maxwell Wireless. The G Pro X2 also lasts up to 97 hours, while the Audeze Maxwell Wireless lasts only 77.4 hours. Also worth mentioning is that the Audeze Maxwell has an Android iOS app, while the G Pro X2 software only works on a computer. Check out the Audeze headset in our Audeze Maxwell Wireless review.

The G Pro X headset precedes the Logitech G Pro X2 headset, and while they look very similar, the G Pro X headset misses out on a virtual soundstage that is present on the G Pro X 2s. The most significant difference is battery life; the G Pro X manages 23.9 hours, while the G Pro X 2’s can go for 97 hours.
