Overview
Designed for Xbox gaming, the Razer Kaira Pro Wireless for Xbox headset is an entry-level pair announced in late 2020. Fitted with triforce titanium 50MM drivers, the headset offers accurate sound reproduction and breathable memory foam cushions for comfort. The headphones also have two microphones: one 9.9mm boom mic that is detachable and another internal mic. This is difficult to find, even among the best gaming headsets on the market.
The Razer Kaira Pro Wireless headphones offer about 20 hours of battery life, and this is with their RGB lights turned on. They also take about 3.7 hours to get to a full charge, but unfortunately, they cannot be used while charging.
The Razer Kaira Pro Wireless for Xbox headset is designed for comfort during extended gaming sessions. The headset has a boomy sound profile out of the box, but this can be customized through its Razer Headset Setup for Xbox companion software. Connectivity is through Bluetooth or a special console connection to an Xbox. Still, when paired to a smartphone, the latency is 114ms and 165ms on both iOS and Android – low enough to maintain good audio-visual synchronicity.
The headset lasts about 20 hours on a single charge with its RGB lighting on, which takes about 3.7 hours to charge. However, its noise isolation performance is not the best due to the lack of a noise-canceling feature.
ReasonS to Buy
Average sound quality
The Razer Kaira Pro Wireless headset has a boomy sound profile out of the box with under-emphasized mids and highs, but this can be customized through its companion software.
Excellent comfort
The soft padding on the headband and earcups of the Razer Kaira Pro makes it very comfortable to wear and great for extended gaming sessions.
Great boom mic
Even though the Razer Kaira Pro has two microphones, its detachable, flexible boom mic does a great job of isolating speech from background noise. This makes for clear audio, as it does a better job of picking up sound than the integrated mic.
Reason to Avoid
Lack of Active Noise Cancellation
The Razer Kaira Pro headphones don’t have an Active Noise Cancellation feature for even more accurate sound isolation.
The internal mic is sub-par
The internal mic is not that great at sound capture, making it redundant.

The Razer Kaira Pro Wireless battery allows up to 20 hours of playback, lasting longer than the Razer Thresher Ultimate, which lasts up to 16 hours on one charge. The Kaira Pro also has two microphones, while the Thresher Ultimate only has one. Read our Razer Thrasher Ultimate review to see what else it has in store. Still, if you want a similar performing wireless alternative, then our Turtle Beach Recon 50X review might pique your interest.

The Razer Kaira Pro Wireless Headset has a better control scheme than the Xbox Wireless headset, as it has call and music control buttons plus Bluetooth and multifunction buttons on the Kaira Pro that aren’t on the Xbox Wireless Headset. The boom mic on the Kaira Pro Wireless is also detachable, while the one on the Xbox Wireless Headset is not. However, the Kaira Pro Wireless takes 3.7 hours to charge compared to the 3.2 hours that the Xbox Wireless takes. We’ve covered the latter in our Xbox Wireless Headset review if you’re interested.

With only 19.3 hours of battery life, the Razer Kaira Pro Wireless headphones are no match for the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed Wireless headphones, which last up to 97 hours. The G Pro X2 headphones also take 2.5 hours to charge, which is shorter than the Razer headphones, which need up to 3.7 hours. We’ve covered the G Pro X2 headphones in our Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed wireless review, so feel free to learn more about them. Unfortunately, both of these headphones lack noise canceling. An alternative that does have this is the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, which we’ve covered in our Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless review.
