While reviewers felt that the Bissell AeroSlim was easy to use and lightweight, many also complained that its 13-minute battery performance was relatively short. They also lamented its lack of a HEPA filter and small dirt compartment.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Bissell AeroSlim vacuum cleaner is a simple, beginner-friendly vacuum that was first announced in 2020. Weighing a light 1.23 pounds, it is pretty easy to maneuver, but this just isn’t enough to earn it a spot on our list of the top vacuum cleaners on the market.

Like some of the best RV vacuums, it is cordless and powered by a lithium-ion battery that keeps it running for up to 13 minutes.

It also has a dual-level filtration system that includes both reusable and washable filters and a dirt compartment that can carry up to 0.05 liters of dirt and debris.

Using it is pretty easy, and with a noise output of only 70.4 decibels, it is as quiet as some of the best Bissell vacuum cleaners. The vacuum cleaner also ships with a combination crevice tool and soft dusting brush for multi-surface cleaning, as well as dealing with hard-to-reach areas.

Consensus

our Verdict

Reviewers praised the Bissell AeroSlim vacuum cleaner for its ease of use. Experts from Tech Gear Lab were quite pleased with how compact the cordless vacuum cleaner is, and during their tests, they found it pretty easy to maneuver because of its 1.2-pound weight.

This allowed them to clean furniture and stairs pretty easily. Even though it is not as well suited for dealing with pet hair as the Black and Decker Dustbuster AdvancedClean+ is, reviewers from Rtings felt satisfied with its ability to clean up both pet dander and small debris, as well as its strong 6.07 kPa suction force.

They were also happy that it had no maintenance costs, as this is something owners of the Bissell CleanView Pet cleaner would have to contend with.

However, critics were not very impressed with the AeroSlim’s short 13-minute battery life and its lack of a HEPA filter. Its small dirt bin also seemed to limit it from cleaning up messes that include large debris.

These issues are part of the reason why the AeroSlim doesn’t feature on our list of the best canister vacuums.

At only 1.2 pounds, the Bissell AeroSlim handheld vacuum weighs a lot less than the handheld Bissell Pet Eraser, which weighs up to 2.6 pounds, making it much easier to maneuver. However, the Bissell Pet Erasier has a longer-lasting battery life of about 20 minutes compared to the AeroSlim’s battery life of 15 minutes.
