The ROG is a gaming-oriented router whose maximum 5 GHz download speed comes in at 639 Mbps, whereas the RT-AC66U maxes out at 339 Mbps. However, the RT-AC66U is better for large home coverage, as it has an impressive 300 range before dropping out, and the ROG drops out at 156 feet. However, the ROG is easier to use and comes with a gaming-centric mobile app, while the RT-AC66U can only be managed over the web interface. |

The ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is a quad-band router, compared to the AX6000’s dual-band. Speed is a close race. The GT-AXE16000 has a download speed on a 5 GHz band clocked in at 639 Mbps, while the AX-6000 measures 840 Mbps. But keep in mind the AX-6000 costs less than half the price. The ASUS… The Linksys Hydra Pro 6 is a high-performing home WiFi router, while the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is made with gaming in mind. The ASUS is a quad-band router, whereas the Linksys only operates on two bands. The Linksys also lacks certain key features, like multi-gig ports and network security software, and the ASUS has both. In terms of download speed, the ASUS is superior, boasting a 639 Mbps speed on 5GHz, whereas Linksys comes in at 510 Mbps. It operates… The Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is an updated version of the router that came out a year prior, the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000. It operates as a quad-band router, given it has two 5 GHz bands, while the GT-AXE11000 only has one. The main difference is that the interface for the GT-AXE11000 is more prone to issues and bugs than its successor. However, the predecessor’s download speed is faster than the GT-AXE16000. The GT-AXE11000 clocked in at 1,401 Mbps download speed on a 5 GHz band, compared to the GT-AXE16000’s speed of 639 Mbps.
