Product Snapshot

Overview

Launched in 2022, the Corsair TC200 is a mid-range gaming chair that comes in two colors (black and white) and two materials (leatherette and fabric). It has a steel-reinforced frame, 4D armrests, a maximum height of 6ft 5in, and a 268-pound maximum weight. Like the best office chair, it offers armrest adjustability between 19.3-20.5 inches and a 2.95-inch wheel caster diameter.

The gas-lift range goes up to 4.7 inches and is on par with the best gaming chairs with a steep recline of up to 180 degrees. You also get a neck pillow and built-in lumbar support. Read our Ewinracing Flash XL series review for a model with magnetic armrests.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Corsair TC200 is a stylish and feature-rich gaming chair that doubles as a desk chair. You can adjust its height (18.5 inches to 23.2 inches) and recline angle (90 to 180 degrees), and its firm cushion keeps stress off the tailbone. It includes a neck pillow for reduced neck strain, but it lacks adequate lumbar support, which can lead to lower back issues over time.

The TC200 has a durable steel frame and sturdy wheelbase, and its cushion is wide enough for bottom-heavy individuals, while tall people will appreciate its high backrest. The wheels employ an anti-roll mechanism, which ensures you stay put, and you can adjust the 4D armrests to rest your elbows. At a mid-range price, you’ll get exceptional value with the Corsair TC200, but for lower back support, there are better options.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Stellar ergonomics and adjustability
    • The Corsair TC200 chair is an excellent gaming chair that’s also suitable for the home office. It boasts a responsive height adjustment (18.5 inches to 23.2 inches), a 90 to 180-degree reclining mechanism, and a velvety memory foam neck pillow for reduced strain.

    • It also features 4D armrests that move up, down, left, right, and tilt inwards and outwards, so you can rest your elbow comfortably while gaming. The chair is firm enough to prevent sinking and placing stress on the tailbone during long work days.

  • Robust construction
    • This heavy-duty chair is ultra-durable, given its sturdy steel frame covered in dense foam and its tough powder-coated wheelbase.

  • Accommodates broad-framed individuals
    • This chair has a high backrest and a roomy seat, which makes it well-suited for tall and heavy-bottomed gamers (up to 6 ft 5 inches in height and 268 lbs weight).

    • You can also sit in it cross-legged without any discomfort.

Reason to Avoid

  • Inadequate lumbar support
    • Unlike most gaming chairs, the Corsair TC200 lacks a back cushion. Moreover, the built-in back support is inadequate, which can contribute to lower back pain, especially when sitting for extended periods.

The newer Corsair TC200 offers slight enhancements over the Corsair T3 Rush. While they’re both gaming chairs that come in fabric and leatherette options, the TC200 features a higher backrest (23.2 inches) and wider seat (15.6 inches) that accommodates large-framed and tall bodies than the T3 Rush (21 inches and 13.5 inches, respectively). Moreover, the TC200 has a stronger steel base compared to the T3 Rush’s nylon base.
