Product testers were pleased with the Dell S2421H, recommending it for moderate gaming and office use. They liked its low input lag, decent response time, and FreeSync tech. However, this unit’s small design is not immersive and some users may be better served by 27-inch models such as the Lenovo D27-30. It also has a relatively low refresh rate.

our Verdict
Product analysts lauded the Dell S2421H and endorsed it for moderate gaming. Unlike the Dell E2220H, this Dell monitor proved to have wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles during testing, which are typical of IPS panels. They were amazed by its very low input lag and good response time. This monitor supports FreeSync and tests confirmed that it reduces screen tearing. Unlike QHD competitors such as the Dell S2721D, this monitor has a Full HD screen, but reviewers at RTINGS say that it has acceptable pixel density, which supports working with text applications. Analysts at Monitor Nerds were pleased that this monitor gets really bright and it showed good reflection management qualities during testing. It has an excellent sRGB color space, and experts believe it’s a good pick for light content creation. However, reviewers were disappointed by this monitor’s low 75Hz refresh rate, and its competitor, the Samsung Odyssey G3 S24AG30 has a higher refresh rate. This Dell display also has a small screen, which is not as immersive as bigger 27-inch and 32-inch monitors.
