Consensus
our Verdict
The Evapolar evaSMART is a great cooling unit for personal use. This device doubles as a humidifier and cools up to 15 degrees, although this is limited to 45 square feet. The evaSMART is remarkably economical, featuring a power draw of just 0.02KWh. This 6.7” x 6.7” x 6.9” device weighs just 2.9 pounds, so it’s portable and requires no installation, just like the best evaporative coolers.
It has a noise rating of just 43.8 dB, which is the lowest on our certified tested list. An intuitive companion app enables simple monitoring, and you can use Alexa and other voice assistants to control the evaSMART. It also has an LED touchscreen control panel with intuitive settings. Its 750 ml water tank requires frequent refilling, however. However, it leaks when moved around, and the water filter needs to be replaced every six to eight months.

The Evapolar evaSMART operates more quietly, has a smaller footprint, and costs less to buy than the Windmill 8000 BTU AC. However, the Windmill AC is more effective in cooling whole rooms. It needs to be installed on a window, unlike the tabletop evaSMART.

With a slightly bigger fan, the Evapolar evaSMART cools a slightly larger area than the Evapolar evaCHILL. The evaCHILL is more portable, consumes less power, and is more affordable to buy. However, neither reaches the performance levels of a regular AC. if you require a bigger whole-room air conditioner, consider our Hisense 10,000 BTU Window AC review.
