Product Snapshot

Overview

The EwinRacing Flash XL Series Gaming Chair was announced in 2019 as a high-end gaming chair built with tall, heavy-set individuals in mind. As a result, the chair is sturdy enough to support individuals weighing up to 550 pounds and is big enough for users up to 7” in height – conditions that are hard to meet even for the best office chairs on the market.

The gaming chair can also recline up to 155°, which is much deeper than some of the highest-rated gaming chairs are capable of. The chair can also swivel 360° and ships with a headrest and lumbar pillow for added support.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Ewin Racing Flash XL Series is a large, sturdy gaming chair that’s great for tall, heavyset individuals. It has a large 22” x 24” seating area, and its backrest measures about 23.6” x 37.8”, placing it in the same category as the Andaseat Fnatic Edition. It also boasts pretty good adjustability, as it can recline up to 155° and has 4-way adjustable armrests. The lack of adjustable lumbar support might disappoint those with lower back issues, but the seat height is adjustable by about 4” and also has a multi-tilt mechanism that allows users to rock the chair back and forth pretty easily.

Assembling the Ewin Racing Chair is relatively easy, and it has two air vents on its backrest for breathability. Feel free to check out the best SecretLab Chairs for other similar alternatives.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Good ergonomics/adjustability
    • The Ewin Racing Flash XL allows gamers to find the perfect seating position. Its seat height offers a 4” range for adjustability, and its backrest can recline back 155°. Armrests are 4-way adjustable, but the seat depth can’t be configured.

  • High build quality
    • The Flash XL chair is designed to be durable courtesy of its carbon steel frame, allowing it to support individuals who weigh up to 550 lbs. It also has a 24” wheelbase for good balance.

  • Large size
    • The Flash XL chair is relatively large in size, making it a good choice for big individuals.

Reason to Avoid

  • No adjustable lumbar support
    • The chair misses out on adjustable lumbar support, so it isn’t ideal for users with back issues.

The EwinRacing Flash XL Series Gaming Chair can recline all the way up to 155°, while the Corsair TC200 gaming chair reclines much further down to 180°. However, the TC200 is designed for individuals who weigh up to 268 pounds, making it inferior to the Flash XL Series, which has a 550-pound weight limit. If you’re still interested in finding out more about the TC200, we’ve covered it in our Corsair TC200 review, so feel free to go ahead and see what else it has in store.

While buyers will have to assemble the EwinRacing Flash XL Gaming Chair, they won’t need to do the same with the Herman Miller X Logitech G Embody Gaming Chair since it ships fully assembled. The Flash XL is also designed with the bucket seat design of a racing chair in mind, while the Herman Miller chair looks more like your typical office chair. For a more in-depth look into what the Herman Miller chair offers, here’s our Herman Miller X Logitech Embody Gaming Chair review.

While the EwinRacing Flash XL Series Gaming Chair has a better max weight capacity of up to 550 lbs, the Ewin Knight Series Ergonomic Chair has a lower limit of up to 400 lbs. Another difference is that the Flash XL Series has a 4-way adjustable lumbar support system, which the Knight Series does not. Lastly, the Flash XL Series has better 4-way adjustable armrests, while the Knight Series Gaming Chair has 2-way adjustable armrests.
