The GT Omega Element is a well-built gaming chair that offers good adjustability and comfort thanks to its padding, but it lacks built-in lumbar support and air vents for breathability.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The GT Omega Element is a premium gaming chair that was first launched in late 2020. The PU leather gaming chair’s backrest can be reclined down to a 160° angle, which is deeper than what many top-tier office chairs are capable of.

The chair’s understated branding also stands out greatly from its minimalist design, and its memory foam cushions make it quite comfortable to sit on for long hours. As is typical with many highly-rated gaming chairs, the Omega Element also ships with both headrest and lumbar pillows, and it’s also quite easy to assemble.

Consensus

our Verdict

The GT Omega Element is a comfortable gaming chair with good adjustability and comfortable padding – both essential for users who plan on long hours of gaming. The chair’s bucket seat design keeps gamers well tucked into the seat, and its headrest and lumbar pillows are great for added comfort. In terms of adjustability, owners will be able to recline its backrest down to 160° and adjust its rocking tension, and its armrests are also 4-way adjustable.

Its seat height is also adjustable over a 2.3” range, and its armrests allow for adjustment over a 3.5” range. The tall 33.5” backrest is also ideal for tall users. Unfortunately, there’s no built-in adjustable lumbar support, and its backrest doesn’t have any air vents for added breathability.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Good ergonomics and adjustability
    • The GT Omega Element is a great gaming chair with good adjustability. Its backrest can be reclined to 160°, its seat height is adjustable over a 2.3” range, and its armrests are height adjustable over a 3.5” range.

    • The backrest on the GT Omega Element measures about 33.5”, which is great for tall users.

  • Great build quality
    • The GT Omega Element has great build quality, as it can support heavy-set individuals weighing up to 350 pounds.

Reason to Avoid

  • Lack of built-in adjustable lumbar support
    • The GT Omega Element doesn’t have built-in lumbar support, but it instead ships with a lumbar pillow. This does not offer the best lower back support for individuals with back issues.

  • Limited breathability
    • There aren’t any air vents on the backrest of the GT Omega Element, and this considerably reduces its breathability.

The GT Omega Element has a weight limit of about 350 pounds, which is slightly higher than that of the Homall Gaming Chair, rated at 300 pounds. Another difference between the two is that while the armrests on the GT Omega Element are 4-way adjustable, those on the Homall Gaming Chair are fixed. However, if you’re still curious about what else the Homall Chair has to offer, feel free to check out our Homall Gaming Chair review.

The GT Omega Element misses out on a retractable footrest, which the Darkecho Gaming chair comes with. The Darkecho Gaming Chair also has a lumbar pillow that features the massage function, making it more comfortable for some people than the non-massage lumbar pillow with which the Omega Element ships. Here’s our Darkecho Gaming Chair review for more insight on what else to expect from it.

In terms of design, the GT Omega Element doesn’t have air vents on its backrest, and this makes it different from the GT Omega Racing Pro, which does. Another difference is that the GT Omega Element is available in dark color combinations (grey, black), while the GT Omega Racing Pro is available in variants that have bright color accents (green, red).
