Featuring a portable design and three-in-one functionality, the HP DeskJet 3755 is a good printer for mobile and home-office use. However, this printer is slow, its printing costs are high, and its quality is just okay.

Consensus

our Verdict

The HP DeskJet 3755 is good for mobile and home office use owing to its wired and wireless connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, USB, and Apple AirPrint. It scans, prints, faxes, and copies and can print photos. It prints at up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, and print quality for text and photos is decent. The colors are fairly accurate, with a 6.06 color dE. It works with the HP Smart app for simple setup and customization.

However, its average printing speed of 6.3 ppm in black and 2.6 ppm in color falls in the bottom quarter among our tested printers. Its average printing cost of 15 cents per page is very high. It lacks automatic duplex scanning and is a 600 dpi sheetfed scanner, so you can’t scan more than a page at a time.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Three in all-in-one capability
    • With the ability to scan, print, copy, and fax, the HP DeskJet 3755 makes an excellent all-around printer for the home office and mobile use.

Reason to Avoid

  • So-so printing quality
    • Tests reveal that the printing quality of the HP DeskJet 3755 is not as great as some higher-end inkjets.

  • Average printing speeds
    • The DeskJet 3755 processes at slow speeds of 6.3 in black and 2.6 in color, ranking near the bottom of its category.

  • High Running Expenses
    • Running costs for this inkjet printer average a whopping 15 cents per page, making this model among the most expensive printers on our list.

Although both the HP DeskJet 3755 and the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-7840 are all-in-one color inkjet printers, the Epson model is the more versatile business-friendly option. It features a flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder and a much lower printing cost. The HP DeskJet has a more laborious sheet-fed scanner but is more portable. The HP DeskJet 3755 is an inkjet all-in-one color printer, so it offers more possibilities than the LaserJet monochrome print-only brother HL-L2325DW. Users interested in photo printing will be better off with the color DeskJet model. However, the Brother printer is much more affordable to run because of its low printing cost.
