Consensus
our Verdict
Sound output on the G Pro X Wired is well balanced, and as a result, both dialogue and sound output come across clearly during inter-game dialogue. Bass, mids, and treble accuracy are also pretty high, so there won’t be a need to do in-depth sound adjustment out of the box. For those who would still want to, its companion software is easy to get through and offers many different configuration options. Build quality is also excellent, as the headset is made of aluminum and steel for good durability.
Owners of the Logitech G Pro X Wired gaming headset will be able to choose between a leather foam pad or a cloth foam pad for different levels of comfort. The headset also ships with two audio cables; in each, there are different in-line remotes with a simple-to-remember control scheme.
ReasonS to Buy
Great sound quality
The G Pro X Wired gaming headset offers an impressive sound output, with highly accurate mids, highs, and trebles. Sound quality can also be fine-tuned through the user-intuitive Logitech G Hub software.
The headphones also support virtual surround sound, which is excellent for directional awareness when video gaming.
Exceptional comfort
The headphones have generous padding on both the ear cups and the headband and ship with two pairs of memory foam pads. The generous padding makes them a breeze to wear for long gaming sessions.
Excellent microphone quality
The boom mic on the G Pro X compares better than other average alternatives in our list of certified, tested headsets, securing a 7.7/10 score rating. It is excellent at sound capture, and ambient noise is effectively filtered out.
Reason to Avoid
Bulky construction
The headphones are large in size and may be difficult to pack or carry around.
Wired
The G Pro X’s wired nature limits movement with the headset worn.
Below-par noise isolation
The G Pro X headset does not adequately block out ambient noise, such as plane rumble or bus engine noise.

The Logitech G Pro X Wired Gaming Headset is bulkier but more well built than the Logitech G Pro Gaming Headset, and they also have a slightly higher 1.2 lbs clamping force than the G Pro’s 1 lbs force. The G Pro X headset also ships with a carrying pouch that the Pro X wired does not, and its sound leakage performance is much better than that of the former. However, if you’d prefer a wireless alternative that has more emphasis on sound quality, then our HyperX Cloud Orbit S review might be worth looking into.

The Logitech G Pro X Wired headset offers many customization options to fine-tune a user’s microphone voice compared to the Razer Blackshark V2. Still, the V2 offers better quality sound output. The V2 also offers better noise isolation, but in terms of customization software, Logitech’s G Hub makes for easier sound customization. That said, if you’re not a big fan of headphones, then perhaps a set of earbuds might do, and if so, then our JBL Quantum 50 review might be worth a read.

While the Logitech G Pro X Wired Gaming Headset is source-powered, the wireless Razer Thresher Ultimate headset is more convenient to use. Their controls are also differently placed, as the Thresher Ultimate has controls on the side of its earcups, while the G Pro X has an in-line remote with a mic-mute switch and a volume wheel. Check out what else the Thresher Ultimate has in store by reading our Razer Thresher Ultimate review.
