Product Snapshot

Overview

Introduced in late 2022 as an affordable, fully autonomous robot vacuum and mop combo, the Roborock Q Revo aims to simplify cleaning for users seeking the best vacuum cleaner performance possible with less manual effort. It comes with an auto-empty dock rated to carry up to 60 days’ worth of debris and promises easy bag replacement. The Q Revo has a 5500-Pa suction motor and dual spinning mop pads. It includes smart features like obstacle detection, room-specific cleaning, no-go zones, and regularly scheduled cleaning sessions. Its 5200-mAh battery gives a rated run time of up to 180 minutes. Sitting below the flagship models in the Roborock lineup, the Q Revo is among the best robot vacuums for those who prioritize efficiency and convenience.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Roborock Q Revo impresses with effective cleaning, removing 99% of fine debris on hardwood floors and over 93% on carpet. Its measured 17.5 CFM airflow exceeds that of most other robot vacuums. Lifting mop pads help it move between different floor types. Navigation is effective, but its object avoidance is not as intuitive as some premium competitors.

Its comprehensive app is convenient, with voice assistants and multiple smart mapping options. Battery life is excellent, tested at 140 minutes in high-power mode. However, the Q Revo struggles with pet hair, incurring more tangles than some other robovacs. Noise averages around 67 dB, on par with other robot vacuums, though the device’s quiet mode hampers cleaning performance. Still, it’s a great value for users seeking hassle-free cleaning.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Good mapping and navigation performance with LIDAR and IR sensors
  • Exceptional bare floor cleaning performance for debris and pet hair
  • Stronger, 17.5 CFM measured suction than other Roborock models
  • Compatible with self-cleaning and self-emptying base stations
  • Long, 3-hour tested battery life

Reason to Avoid

  • Not as adept at obstacle avoidance as some competitors
  • Relatively ineffective 58% pet hair pickup on carpet
  • No vibrating or self-cleaning mop
  • Poor air filtration

Compared to the Roborock Q Revo, the S7 Max V has a larger dustbin of 400 mL instead of 350 mL and a larger water tank of 200 mL vs. 80 mL. However, the newer Q Revo has a slightly higher rated suction of 5500 Pa. The Q Revo robot vac also has more smart app features, like automatic tank refilling and mop washing. However, it lacks the S7 MaxV’s high-speed sonic mopping feature. See our Roborock S7 Max vacuum review to learn more.

Compared to the iRobot Roomba j7+, the Roborock Q Revo stands out with a more powerful suction motor, 5500 Pa, compared to around 4000 Pa. Both models use self-emptying docks and offer smart mapping and navigation. However, the Roomba j7+ filters out allergens better thanks to its HEPA filter. Compared to the older Roborock S6, the Q Revo showcases better cleaning performance, especially on hard surfaces and low-pile carpets, where it averages around 99% small debris clearance. The Q Revo has a smaller dustbin, 350 mL compared to 400 mL, and a smaller water tank for its mop, but it compensates with dual mop pads and a stronger 5500-Pa suction motor.
