our Verdict

Product analysts were impressed by the Roborock S4, endorsing it for bare floors and limited use on carpets. Editors at Tech Hive were pleased with its 0.42L dust cup and its anti-allergy HEPA filter.

Testers were impressed by the battery life of this model, which runs for up to 199 minutes on a single charge. It produces a maximum manufacturer-advertised 2000pa of suction power, cleaning effectively.

During tests, it removed 98% of the large debris on hard floors and 80% on low-pile carpets. However, it can’t scale up high-pile carpets. This model has Wi-Fi and its mobile app received high marks during testing.

Researchers at Digital Trends were pleased with its laser navigation system that uses smart pathing technology. It produced a moderate 68 dBA of noise during testing, which pleased critics.

However, this model doesn’t have a mopping attachment. Consider the Roborock S7 review if you prefer a mopping robot vacuum. The S4 also features a high maintenance design, requiring regular replacement of the HEPA filter, side brush, and brush roll.
