Download speed is good, testing at 460 Mbps, ranking it in the top half of tested routers. However, its 2.4 GHz performance isn’t great, at 65.5 Mbps. The connection range reaches up to 150 feet before the signal drops. However, latency is poor; at 235 ms, it ranks in the bottom 5% of routers.
The router is easy to set up and operate. Users can choose from either the Tether Mobile app or the web interface. Set up takes around 10 minutes. From there, they can set bandwidth priority, run diagnostics, set parental controls, and access smart features, like the Smart Game Assistant and Smart Connect, which control band steering.
