The combination of great battery life, effective cleaning, and a decent navigation system make the Yeedi Vac Max a good vacuum for carpets and hard floors. However, it has a small dirt cup.

Product Snapshot

Overview

The Yeedi Vac Max is a 2020-model mid-range robot vacuum offering extensive runtime and smart mapping features at an affordable price. Read on and compare it to the top vacuum cleaners. The Yeedi Vac Max has a 0.42L dust canister, and users can purchase an optional self-emptying charging station as needed. It has an auto suction adjustment function for automatically adjusting the suction power depending on the dirt level. It works with Alexa and Google Assistant for simple voice-based operation. An included mop and 0.24-liter reservoir tank offer wet cleaning functions. Although it supports virtual boundaries via its smart app, its mapping system is not as smart as the highest-rated vacuums with LiDAR-based systems.

Consensus

our Verdict

The Yeedi Vac Max is an excellent vacuum for carpets and dry floors. With a noise rating of just 62.8 dB, it scores among the top 25% of the quietest tested robot vacuums. It has a mobile app that enables setting virtual barriers, although its mapping system is not as robust and intuitive as more advanced models. If you need a LiDAR-based navigation system, check out our Roborock Q Revio review.

The Yeedi Vac Max has a 0.42-liter dustbin on the smaller end of the scale for robot vacuums. However, Yeedi provides an optional docking station with a 2.5-liter disposable dirt bag. This 3 kPa Yeedi Vac Max robot vacuum has a mop and a 240 ml reservoir tank to handle wet messes. It comes with built-in Alexa and Google Assistant for voice-based operation.

ReasonS to Buy

  • Good navigation system
    • The Yeedi Vac Max uses a systematic navigation system and does a good job at avoiding obstacles.

  • Decent cleaning performance
    • Thanks to its decent dirt pickup power on both carpets and hard floors, the 3 kPa Yeedi Vac Max is a suitable vacuum for carpets and hard floors.

  • Battery life
    • This vacuum cleaner has a good battery life.

  • Quiet operation
    • The Yeedi Vac Max has a tested noise rating of just 62.8 dB, scoring among the quietest 25 percent among our certified tested robot vacuums.

Reason to Avoid

  • Small canister
    • The 0.42L dirt cup of the Yeedi Max is smaller than those of comparative models. However, this may not be an issue if you choose to buy the option self-empting docking station.

Equipped with a mop, the Yeedi Vac Max is more versatile than the RoboVac G20, which has no such function. Users can also purchase an optional self-emptying docking station for the Yeedi Vac Max, unlike the RoboVac G20, which doesn’t have the option of a self-emptying station. However, the RoboVac is the more affordable option. If you need a more affordable robot vacuum, see our Eufy G20 RoboVac review.

Featuring a random navigation system, the Yeedi Vax Max is not as efficient as the Proscenic M8 Pro with its laser-guided methodic navigation system. While the M8 comes with a self-emptying docking station, the Yeedi Max has a self-emptying station as an optional upgrade. However, the Yeedi vacuum is quieter and costs less to buy.  Our Proscenic M8 Pro review discusses the pros and cons of the Proscenic vacuum.
